1. Booking & Appointments
By booking an appointment with us, you confirm that the information provided about you and your cat is accurate and complete, including any health conditions, temperament notes, vaccination status, and the current condition of their coat.
We reserve the right to decline or reschedule a booking if a cat’s health, temperament, or actual coat condition poses a safety risk to our groomers, requires specialist care beyond the booked timeframe, or threatens the salon schedule.
If the cat's coat condition differs significantly from the description provided at booking, we reserve the right to adjust the appointment time or apply the relevant matting surcharges.
2. Cancellations & No-Shows
We understand plans change, but late cancellations affect other customers waiting for an appointment.
- Cancellations made more than 48 hours before your appointment incur no charge.
- Cancellations made within 48 hours of your appointment may incur a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the booked service price.
- No-shows (failure to attend without notice) will be charged the full price of the booked service before any future appointment can be booked.
- Cancellation and no-show fees will be automatically charged to the card on file or must be settled before a new appointment can be scheduled.
- We will always try to be flexible for genuine emergencies — please contact us as soon as you can.
3. Fleas, Ticks & Parasites
For the safety and comfort of your cat, our staff, and other animals in our care, all cats must be up to date with flea and worm treatment before their appointment.
- If fleas, ticks, or other parasites are discovered during your cat’s appointment, an additional flea/parasite salon sanitisation fee of £20 will apply to cover the cost of specialised insecticidal products and salon down-time required to deep-clean the environment.
- In some cases we may need to pause or stop a groom to treat fleas before continuing, which may extend the appointment length or require a follow-up visit.
- We recommend keeping flea and worm treatment current year-round, and you can record treatment dates on your cat's profile in your account.
4. Health, Temperament & Safety
Please keep us up to date with any health conditions, medications, allergies, or temperament changes (for example, sensitivity to noise, past scratching, biting, or anxiety). This helps us groom your cat safely and choose the right approach for them.
If a groom is stopped early for the welfare of the cat or our team, a minimum charge of 50% of the booked service (or the full cost of work completed so far, whichever is greater) will apply.
5. Photography & Social Media
We love showing off our clients! From time to time, we may photograph or film your cat during their visit and share these images on our website, social media, or marketing materials. If you would prefer your cat is not photographed or featured, please let us know at the time of booking or in writing, and we will note this on your account.
6. Payment
Payment is due in full at the time of service unless a prior arrangement has been agreed in writing. We accept payment by cash, debit/credit card or bank transfer.
The prices listed on our website are guide prices only. A formal estimate will be provided when you drop off your cat. However, cats can present unexpected challenges. If we discover severe matting, parasites, or behavioral issues during the groom that require additional time, specialized equipment, or products, we reserve the right to charge an additional fee.
We will always endeavor to contact you immediately to discuss these findings and any extra costs before proceeding. If we cannot reach you and the delay compromises the cat’s safety or comfort, we will proceed with the necessary care at the owner's expense, up to an additional £30
Pricing menus are reviewed regularly and are subject to change for future appointments.
7. Liability
While we take the utmost care of every cat in our salon, grooming inherently involves handling animals that can be unpredictable. We are not liable for pre-existing conditions, injuries caused by a cat’s own behavior, or matting-related skin issues revealed once fur is removed.
Furthermore, removing severe or pelted matting carries an inherent risk of accidental skin nicks or irritation, as the skin is often drawn tight into the mats. The Feline Spa will not be held liable for any accidental injuries or skin nicks resulting from the necessary removal of a matted coat, nor any subsequent veterinary costs associated with these issues. We will always endeavor to inform you of the coat condition before proceeding with a welfare clip.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our services or policies. The latest version will always be available on this page.
